How Will 2010 Be Different To You?
posted 1 month agoThrough my life (and I’m sure you have as well), I’ve encountered people who are great people, are probably super content in their lives, and don’t mean anything harsh or condescending when they ask a certain question: “What are you doing with your life?”.
In right context, this is a great question no doubt, what ARE you doing with your life?
During a TED Talk an expert on interviewing people said that the best questions you can ask people, are questions they’ve always wanted to be asked.
So a question I would ask myself, and you in this new year, is HOW are you being in your life? Not what are you doing, but what does life mean to you now!
Tomorrow I turn 21, an age recognized in the United States as an age of almost complete freedom. I would agree.
So far in my life I’ve had loads of fun, done some pretty cool things, and been through a lot rough times, but I’m happy where I am now.
In my 21 years I’ve:
-Been to 3 different countries (Moldova, Austria, Canada). Great times in all!
-Been lucky enough to have worked in some of the world’s top studios with mega-famous/talented producers
-Played many shows with many bands, some opening for big bands, some good, some bad, all fun and in the name of art.
-Devoted my life more and more every day towards God
-Got scholarships to schools
-Lost scholarships
-Loved, lost
Some of these things are my dreams! I’ve been so blessed and lucky!
The list could go on, but it’s not meant to brag, it’s just to recollect that I love life. I’m open, ready. I’ve got a Karen Carr attitude of “Sign Me Up!” when it comes to new opportunities.
Just today one of my pipe-dreams (a dream that would be awesome, but probably may never happen) is to do a HALO (High Altitude Low Opening) jump with the military, just for fun. It’s be scary, risky, to some completely dumb, but what an amazing experience?
In 2010, I’ve made the choice to walk through the doors God’s opened in my life, turning away from things that aren’t good or of Him. He’s set all of us free, we make the choice to escape.
Im pursuing new opportunities in education, as well as working. I’ll stay updated on here, but I just want to ask you:
How are you being in your life?>/b> And how are you going to make 2010 a different year for your life?
Hope you’re doing awesome.
