Choosing my favorite DC wedding venues wasn’t easy. Our nation’s capital has no shortage of charming and historical venues for every couple’s dream wedding. I put together a short list of some of my favorite DC wedding venues that I have shot at in no particular order.
The Fairmont Washington
As you can see, The Fairmont Washington is both an incredible and beautiful wedding venue in DC. What I loved about photographing Zoe & Kevin’s wedding there, was the diversity of spaces for wedding guests to hang out and socialize throughout the day. In the summer, The Fairmont’s courtyard is the perfect cocktail hour space. Also, the Fairmont Washington is also an amazing hotel, so even with a large wedding party you can get ready and keep everything at one location. In the District, having all of the wedding components in one spot is super useful!

Saint Francis Hall
A stunning and classic DC wedding venue right in the heart of the District. Located in the Brookland neighborhood St. Francis Hall weddings can have catholic stylings or even outdoor Italian styling. I may be biased because this is also where my wife and I got married. There are just so many beautiful spots at this venue for wedding photos. From the courtyard with the tall pillars and archways to the main hall with sky-high ceilings and iconic red stage drapes.

District Winery
It’s no secret that I love District Winery weddings. I photographed the first wedding at District Winery ever, with Scott & Christina and it was the perfect Fall day on the waterfront! Located in the recently updated Yards Park area, this wedding venue is close to hotels, amazing photo locations and lots of restaurants for rehearsal dinners as well as after party fun! District Winery is also within walking distance of Nationals Park which some couples have used as a fun rehearsal spot when planning weddings for out of state guests! It’s perfect to incorporate some District based places that are more accessible than the National Mall on your wedding day. Also, District Winery offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options in the District which is rare!
