The German Society of Philadelphia wedding venue is a classic and historic site for a wedding reception in Philadelphia. Built in 1764 the multiple venues at the German Society maintain their classical features and charm. My super fun clients, Nikki + Javier were married here and I had the pleasure of shooting a very energetic wedding video for them.
About German Society of Philadelphia
The first German society in America, founded in 1764 by a group of prominent German colonists, The German Society of Philadelphia has a 250-year-old history of culture and community. With several historical event spaces, this is an ideal venue for a grand wedding reception. The Barthelmes Auditorium was converted from an assembly hall into a reception venue and boasts beautiful classical architectural features from the period it was built in. A stunning and complete library with antique wooden bookcases and tables would make a stunning ceremony space. In addition, to these two upscale spaces, the Ratskeller space offers a more casual and authentic experience.
