rappahannock cellars wedding by Washington DC Wedding Photographer Adam Mason

“We met Adam through our wedding planner, Sarah Petersen at Sincerely Pete Events, and instantly knew we liked him. He has a very nice demeanor and personality that is easy to work with and communicate. We especially liked the bold colors and crisp lines of his photos. We had our engagement session about a month and a half before the wedding (we only had a 5-month engagement). I was pleased we did one at all because, more than anything, it gave us a good trial run/ practice of having our picture taken – we’re not models, so this was a new sensation for us both. I will be honest, I didn’t love how they turned out – not because of Adam, the pictures were great, but I didn’t like how I looked and some of the poses we chose. My planner communicated this to Adam, who was receptive and happy to have the feedback. As a result, our wedding pictures are OUT OF THIS WORLD! I am so so very thrilled with them.

Adam is talented, professional, never complains (even though it was 90+ degrees for both our engagement session and wedding) and produces beautiful memories that we will have over our lifetime together. I would absolutely hire him again!”

“These are AMAZING!!! I’m at a loss for words on how to describe just how wonderful the photos are, you and Amanda captured everything beyond perfectly. Like Corey mentioned on his Facebook post, you really did make our little wedding look awesome! It’s so cool to finally see what everything actually looked like – the ceremony, the reception (I didn’t know there was a whole pig! Dressed!) – since I never took the time to step back and take in the scene that night. I was too busy on the dance floor, obviously. Those photos have me dying laughing!! I cannot wait to use some of them as blackmail with my friends haha.

I know I said this before, but it’s worth repeating – your eye for photography is beyond belief. I still can’t believe how good you made the Bell Buoy look in my portraits on the deck. As many times as I’ve walked across that deck, I’ve never noticed that tree before! And you made that murky pond in Rehoboth look so beautiful! I received so many texts and comments regarding the sunset silhouette photo – everyone has been absolutely in awe of it. I had no idea where you were going with that at the time, but I totally get it now! And speaking of sunsets, the photo of the sunset in focus between myself and Corey is so cool! It took me a second glance to notice it, and now I can’t stop looking at it. It’s amazing.

Corey and I cannot thank you enough for your time, your creative eye and all of your hard work. Both our engagement and wedding photos are so much more than we ever imagined. We wish you nothing but success and happiness. Best of luck to you and Sara in planning your own wedding!”

“We were beyond happy with Adam’s work. His service was unbelievably flexible, and we were so blown away by his ability to capture moments and turn them into memories. My husband and I tend to be a little camera shy and too posed, but Adam made sure we were comfortable, we were lost in our love for each other, and that we looked natural. He also made sure that we laughed! I’ve never been more pleased with pictures of us. We were able to be ourselves and the outcome was stunning. I love that for the rest of my life I will have these beautiful reminders to someday share with my children. I will always recommend Mason Photography and I am so grateful he was available to share in some of the happiest moments of our lives!”

“Adam did a fantastic job at our Baltimore Museum of Industry wedding. He had very artistic and creative ideas for pictures in the many different exhibit areas. He also took fantastic candid shots at the ceremony and reception and is especially creative and talented with lighting. Moreover, he is very fun and laid back which is a welcome asset on a stressful day. My husband and I highly recommend Washington DC Wedding Photographer Mason Photography and plan on hiring him again for family pictures. You’ll absolutely love his work!”

“Adam Mason is amazing!!
He really got excited about us, our story, our wedding, and our engagement photos. Everything clearly meant something to him and he was happy to be there – it wasn’t just a paycheck to him… he cared – and the photos show it!

He was very flexible with our schedules and even kept up a happy and professional vibe when our wedding ceremony was delayed for an hour due to our guests getting lost en route.

As soon we decided to throw a wedding, Adam instantly came to mind. I had seen his work at music festivals and knew how fun and professional he was as a person. I knew that he would be a perfect fit, not only to capture the beautiful moments of our wedding but also to engage with our guests and keep a happy vibe going. To capture truly candid and natural photos of myself and others who actually hate getting their photos taken. Adam is instantly everyone’s best friend, and the result is warm and loving photos that are full of life.

For our wedding (with about 100 guests, 4 bridesmaids, 4 groomsmen, and of course the bride and groom), we only had Adam as a photographer (no second shooter), and I never felt uncomfortable about that. With anyone else, I definitely would have. Adam captured everything, and he did it beautifully. (Now, I’m sure if there was a second shooter, that would have been amazing, too! I am not discrediting that at all! However, the fact that we could stay within our budget with only hiring Adam, and still getting such amazing results was incredible).

I can’t tell you how great it is to be in the midst of wedding planning and prep and know that you have made a solid decision on a key element that you do not have to worry about at all. It’s awesome. Whenever friends and family would ask if I got a photographer, I would put their unease to rest with full confidence. After the wedding, they all raved about him as a person and as a photographer.

And our wedding photos are incredible.”
