It may be crazy to work 3 weddings in one weekend, I’m not sure what the word is for doing it two weekends in a row. That said, being able to tell Guy & Justin’s story for their DC waterfront wedding at the incredible District Winery made it all worth it.
I knew from my first phone call with these guys that were going to have a ton of fun while having lots of sentimental moments. They told me stories of dating while long distance, having “Porch time” which was the cherished moments with a drink in hand when they weren’t working their high capacity jobs. They know moments matter, because remembering and acknowledging the good times as they’re happening is a great skill to have.
As you can already tell, these two are basically our kind of couple here at Mason Photography. Guy is reserved but fill of witty humor, Justin is gentle and sweet. Seeing that combination throughout the wedding day starting at The Wharf with their closest friends and family, to the party later was like witnessing a sacred event. These guys are well-loved and it showed in Washington DC Friday night.
Like all good ceremonies, Guy & Justin’s had a mix of formal, storytelling, and some personal anecdotes and readings from their wedding party and even a senator! For an extra bonus, these two had their dog Penny as part of the ceremony who may win the award for most well-behaved pet at a wedding!
It was difficult to pick favorites from spending all day with these two, but here are a few of my favorite photos from Guy & Justin’s DC Waterfront wedding at District Winery!
