October weddings are usually the ones that book a long way out, it’s the most popular wedding month here in DC. Primarily the reasons are the weather and Fall colors. I have been waiting what feels like forever in anticipation for Alex & Lindsay’s Cherry Blossom Riverboat wedding and on Saturday it finally came, plus it had both amazing weather and some Fall colors!
The story of how Alex & Lindsay goes like this: Lindsay finds me via Google and thinks “Ok. Cool. Colorful style and seems like not a weirdo.” But then she read my About page where I describe my affinity for Tesla and Apple products, that of which Alex & and Lindsay own a plethora. She sent it to Alex and then in our call we discovered Alex & I were both Patriots fans too. So basically it was love at first “site”. #DadJokes
Since that call we’ve shared dinners together, an engagement session and trying to convince my wife to let me buy a Tesla. All that to say, their wedding day was one for the books. They wanted nothing of anything “normal” tradition wise and we literally spent 12 hours together on their wedding day. Most of Alex’s groomsmen were part of his WOW Guild of which the Cherry Blossom Riverboat offered to fly their guild’s colors. Alex & Lindsay shared a private ceremony along the Potomac River so they could have a few moments to themselves before party and LOOK AT ALEX’S VELVET SUIT! Need I say more?
