It’s been a while since I’ve been in Washington DC. The last time was in February for Jon Foreman and Fiction Family which was cool, but not as cool as Sarah & Eric’s hiking engagement photos at Billy Goat Trail!
I went down to Washington DC and Virginia to hang out with Sarah and Eric for their engagement shoot. We wanted to get down there a bit earlier than usual since we’d be hiking and rock-hopping. The first spot we went to was Billy Goat Trail which was one of the most amazing and beautiful hikes I’ve ever been on! I totally should’ve made a stop REI before coming! I was a little unprepared!
Somehow, Sarah and Eric maintained their beauty and composure while scrambling along the trail and even some intense climbs during their hiking engagement on these giant rock formations. I on the other hand, was having a great time but was red like a lobster. Haha! That’s why I’m behind the camera during engagement sessions I guess!
Later on, we headed to the Tidal Basin to enjoy the peak bloom cherry blossoms!. The light was incredible and it was nice to be on the level ground haha! For our post-engagement session pizza tradition, we went to We The Pizza on Capitol Hill. It was delicious and so fun to end their hiking engagement filling up on some pizza!
