HIVE at National Building Museum by Studio Gang: #WalkWithLocals Meetup

HIVE at National Building Museum Walk With Locals Meetup by Washington DC Wedding Photographer Adam Mason

After living in Washington DC for 4 years now, I’ve learned there are just so many things to enjoy. From the food, the sights, and the people, it’s an incredible place. The new Hive  by Studio Gang at the National Building Museum in Washington DC, is no exception.

Last week I attended my first #WalkWithLocals Instagram meet-up at the new Hive Installation at the National Building Museum. It was incredible and here were a ton of great people there.

Every summer, the National Building Museum has a really cool interactive exhibit that you can enjoy. The first year I went was the BEACH installation which was a ton of white plastic balls to simulate a beach. Last year, it was the ICEBERGS exhibit which was giant pieces to give you the experience of swimming both under icebergs and viewing them from above.

This year though was the architects at Studio Gang’s turn for their wonderful HIVE installation. The HIVE project is not just for experiencing via sight, but also by sound. The different sections reflect sound differently.

It was an incredible experience to see the infamous HIVE at the National Building Museum with really cool Instagram friends. Here are a few of my favorite photos from the HIVE at National Building Museum in Washington DC.

Make sure to visit before it’s too late! Be sure to connect with me on Instagram to see more photos!
