There are a lot of weddings I shoot where during the ceremony, there’s this collective feeling of gladness and relief. It’s not a relief that things are over, but everyone present feels like the two people coming together is what is meant to happen. It’s perfect. That was Tony & Nikki’s Hood College Wedding last weekend in Frederick.
I was excited to start of my string of wedding weekends with these two at the Coffman Chapel on the Hood College campus. I had so much fun with Tony & Nikki last year during their cherry blossom engagement session that I knew this day would be fun. Nikki is gentle and always has a plan. Tony is gentle but tough, and also is the kind of person where if you need something, he knows a guy!
After their ceremony, we took a photo of EVERYONE at the wedding. I was probably my largest group photo ever and was a blast to wrangle these two families into the fun moment that followed.
The reception was Urbana Firehall and consisted of teary-eyed prayers and speeches, followed by some epic dancing and fun family games. It was an absolute blast to be with these two amazing people on their special wedding day. Here are a few highlights from the whole day!
