It may just be me (is it?) but there seems to be a feeling of hope going around and I am here for it! This past weekend with Matt & Stephanie’s epic Hopkins Heartland Wedding was oozing with that feeling as well as of course celebration! From the gorgeous dresses to the inappropriate jokes (it helps if your sister is a comedian!) to the Meek Mill song ending the party, you couldn’t ask for a better day. It may just be me being born a few miles from this venue, but this one was special.
Their first look was a prime example that despite how you plan on reacting when you see people you love you lose control, and with great reason. Those are what weddings are all about: love is the most powerful thing in the world.
One of the things I especially loved about this wedding was usually couples want photos with their wedding party of course, but once we finish the group photos and each member with each part of the couple, we usually finish. “We got it” is usually what happened. But these two love their friends and wanted them to be included, to be in more photos. I loved that! So there are a few epic wedding party shots in here and it was so fun!
These two, their families and friends are a community many wish they could be a part of. Matt is loyal and will give you the shirt off his back, while Stephanie is always ready to help (even on the wedding day when we tell her to relax). Their ceremony on the Covered Bridge Inn farmland was timely yet never lacking anything. The reception of course had deep, loving speeches, but also had multiple pairs of pants being split open, even a lapdance from Matt himself.
When I meet couples I try to make them feel comfortable and relaxed. Getting your photos taken can be stressful and awkward, so we do a lot of work to put in a genuine connection and guide couples through the process. With these two, they were already so comfortable both at their engagement session and wedding day. Honestly, it’s felt like we were already friends because I had heard so much about them through Matt’s sister Ashley’s podcast! I was a fan of the show for years and even found out they were from Delaware but didn’t think anything of it. Then Ashley mentions her brother is engaged on an episode, so I reached out to Matt & Stephanie on Instagram and here we are!
It was an epic day and start to the Spring wedding season, so here are a few of my favorite wedding photos from their Hopkins Heartland Wedding!
