Usually my engagement sessions consist of two subjects, and I’m like a photographing third wheel. For Jeremy & Jasmine’s Meridian Hill Park engagement photos, there was another dashing photo subject who was the cutest subject ever: a french bulldog named Chunk! How insanely cute is that name for a little frenchie? You HAVE to see these photos!
Jeremy & Jasmine are getting married in Minnesota but wanted to do something in their favorite areas of U Street Corridor and Meridian Hill park for their engagement. These were the spots in Washington DC where they met, where they live, where they got jobs, and even where they brought Chunk into their lives!
I love engagement sessions at Meridian Hill Park and even love telling little stories of the history of the park and how it used to be called Malcolm X Park.
These three were super cute and even though it was our first time meeting, we ended the night like we were old friends. We wandered through Meridian Hill Park and sweated on the steps while the fountain was off, strolled down 14th St past Manhattan Laundry (near my favorite La Colombe!) and ended up near Ben’s Chili Bowl. There were so many cool murals and textures on that walk that made for a perfect Meridian Hill Park engagement session.
