Long-Term Tips for Wedding Photography
How long will you be able to do what you do? What if you have a dry season, an injury, or even worse: your accountant leaves for Spain and never returns? Ryan Brenizer shares his long-term tips for staying in the wedding industry.
In this episode, we talk with Ryan Brenizer, one half of The Brenizers about what to focus on for wedding photographers and how your focus can determine how long you’ll last in the industry. He’s weathered the trends and seasons for over 10 years in New York City, so his insight is invaluable!
Tips from Ryan
- The world moves so fast now. Ryan was asked to start speaking six months after he went full-time, and he saw how fast the world of photography moved.
- At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if people know you. You have to focus on the areas that are important to you. Focus on growing and getting better.
- Focus not just on making money, but how you can provide an amazing experience to your couples. How you treat your couples colors their experience of how they love their photos.
- Start playing again! Don’t get too comfortable and keep getting creative. You don’t want to do the same things over and over.
