A Carlyle House wedding is ideal for the couple looking for a classical outdoor reception. It’s no secret, Old Alexandria, Virginia is one of my favorite areas to shoot weddings just like Marc + MJ’s. There is just so much character and charm. In addition, there are timeless wedding venues like Carlyle House – a historic stone mansion built in the eighteenth century. This venue has so much to offer for a gorgeous outdoor wedding reception in Alexandria.

About Carlyle House Wedding Venue
One of Alexandria’s founders, John Carlyle, built this fine example of Georgian style architecture in 1753. Now it serves a historic museum for the community as well as a stunning wedding venue. On top of that, the surrounding gardens are an ideal space to exchange vows. The tented Magnolia Terrace overlooking the gardens is a beautiful place to host a reception in the warmer months.
