Around this time I reflect on the year I’ve had and think about how lucky I am to have my job. Being in DC is great because of the uniqueness of the people I photograph, in addition to learning about and relating to them by their home state. When it comes to the Winter, it’s DC photobooth time!
This weekend I was able to run a DC photobooth for an event called the “Best Christmas Party Ever” (high praise right? It was great!). It’s a charity event to raise money for certain causes around local and international communities. This year’s donations went to Mercy Kids Africa, an organization that helps provide basic needs and education for orphans and vulnerable children in Zambia. In addition to weddings, I love working for great causes through photography.
The best part was most of these folks are acquaintances or friends so everyone in the room felt right at home. The props helped folks feel at ease and smile big for the camera at this DC photobooth. There was a steady flow of over 300 people the entire night at the Christmas Party.
Feel free to contact me for any photo needs!
Here’s a few of my favorites, but to see more of the photos from the night, see the full gallery.
