I’ve been photographing weddings in the Washington DC and DMV area for years now and I’m always excited when there’s a new wedding venue in the district and it’s setup for very cool weddings. The latest DC wedding venue is both a magical winery and modern event space. District Winery has finally opened and is available for District Winery weddings and events! I’ve photographed two weddings there now, so I thought I’d share some quick facts about the cost and style of District Winery. Here is District Winery Wedding Cost & Info below!

District Winery Wedding Cost:

How much does it cost to book a wedding at District Winery? Weddings at District Winery are competitively priced for the D.C. metro area. Like many venues, District Winery charges per person with a minimum depending on the day plus a venue fee. The District Winery venue begins around $25,000 depending on the date, occasion, season, and availability. For example: Saturdays at District Winery often cost more than Thursday weddings.

The District Winery wedding package includes private use of the venue, two of the three floors, cocktail food options (I love the Kimchi cupcakes!), chairs, linens, and more! One thing my Mason Photography couples have mentioned is that District Winery makes weddings a “turn-key solution”. They truly have everything to make your wedding day amazing without sacrificing any quality. Their food and beverage minimums can range from $25,000-$45,000.

You can’t put a price on making things easy! For more detailed pricing of District Winery weddings and events email their team here.

About District Winery:

From the District Winery website: “District Winery is a uniquely chic venue for your wedding, with DC’s first urban winery as the backdrop. Our romantic, sophisticated space with unobstructed views of the Anacostia River is the ideal wedding venue to host your guests while toasting to your marriage with wine produced on site. Couples will work with a dedicated event manager who will carefully assist with all of the details, from helping you curate your individual wedding menu to ensuring that every element is just right when it’s time to tie the knot. District Winery weddings are expertly crafted to provide you with a full-service experience as you plan and ultimately celebrate the day you’ve always envisioned.”

One of the things I like about a District Winery wedding is the balance of modern and industrial, with natural and intimate. Most wedding venues do one or the other pretty well, but District Winery does both extremely well. Also, I know the event planner at District Winery and she is the best in the business. She’s worked for other premier wedding venues in the Washington DC area.

District Winery Wedding Ceremony Options

What do the ceremony options look like at District Winery? District Winery could probably host a wedding in their kitchen or their premiere restaurant Ana and it’d still look amazing. With this DC venue you can choose outdoor on the terrace or inside. Both look incredible but below are photos of the wedding ceremony options at District Winery. Some couples even decide to do a twilight ceremony to get the sunset’s colors coming through the floor to ceiling windows.

Indoor Ceremony at District Winery
A fantastic option if it rains or if the weather is inclement, District Winery’s third floor is a breathtaking indoor wedding ceremony option in Washington DC. Between the twinkling lights, modern seating, and sunsets coming through the windows it makes it extra special no matter what mother nature decides.

Cocktail Hour at District Winery

Depending on the weather and the size of your wedding, you can have the best of both worlds. On District Winery’s mezzanine level, you can often times see wine get made on one side in the venue’s barrel room while on the other side viewing the winery’s bustling restaurant Ana. You can also decide to do cocktail hour outside with DC’s Navy Yard views and music playing throughout the Yards Park area.

District Winery Wedding Photo Locations

Venues like this in DC are rare because of how plentiful the great photo spots area. If you want to stay inside, you’d still have incredible looking photos. Heading outside, you can enjoy the industrial modern looks of the winery, the boardwalk along the Potomac River, and even gorgeous trees that provide gorgeous shade during hot summer weddings.
