Ashley & Sarah at Woodend Sanctuary

October 3, 2023

The best part of this job is no matter what happens at a wedding, no matter what goes right or wrong, if a couple fully settles into their wedding moment, we get to experience the depth of relationships that often times reminds us why love and weddings are so important. For Ashley & Sarah’s Fall wedding at Woodend Sanctuary, it was that times a million.

Eric and I felt incredibly welcome from the very beginning of the day at the hotel. Despite not knowing us, their friends & family were super welcoming and helpful. Ashley & Sarah had planned a lot of time during the day to make things stress free and it felt incredible to not be rushed. Every moment and photo could take it’s time to ferment and be felt.

Speaking of moments, when it came to the ceremony under the beautiful Fall wooded canopy, I cried upon hearing Ashley’s vows to Sarah. The vulnerability, the truth, the power of being who you are and stepping into who you’re about to be with your partner, it was incredible.

The rest of the night was filled with dancing and wonderful catching up conversation. The Fall weather when grabbing a drink or taking a dancing break made the night serene. Lots of singing, group dancing, and all of the fun you’d want in a wedding. If you love Fall wooded weddings in DC, Ashley & Sarah’s Fall wedding at Woodend Sanctuary’s photos are the ones to see!
