With history, culture, and charm, Glen Echo Park is an incredible venue for a wedding in the Washington, DC area. Even though it was a rainy day, I loved exploring all the park has to offer and shooting Nick and Becky’s big day there. This guide includes Glen Echo Park wedding cost as well as photos, reviews, and information. Hopefully it helps in deciding if a Glen Echo Park wedding is right for your special day!
About Glen Echo Park
One of the finest cultural resources in the Washington, DC area, Glen Echo Park is home to 13 resident artists and arts organizations, a thriving social dance program, a restored 1921 Dentzel Carousel, and more.
First developed in the 1890s as a Chautauqua retreat, the park soon became the premier Washington area amusement park, serving the community until 1968. The federal government acquired the land in 1971 in order to preserve the Potomac Palisades and prevent development along the river.
With ceremony options like the Spanish Ballroom, a beautifully restored 1933 Mediterranean style Art Deco building, and attractions like the Dentzel Carousel, installed in the park in 1921, Glen Echo Park is an amazing venue option with unique history, charm, and culture.
