It’s incredible to me that it’s already July and I’m currently writing this while waiting for my flight to Alaska, my final state! I’m excited but realize that I wouldn’t have it any other way than to photograph Conner & Serena’s Morais Vineyards wedding last weekend down in Northern Virginia! From the overflowing vines and photo locations to the epic landscapes we made our best use of the Morais Vineyards property!
Although the day was incredibly hot, we were grateful to have that over the expected rain. When first chatting with Conner & Serena last year, I knew they’d be happy with any weather but you could tell photos and the vibe were important to them. Serena is a bride with vision and hired a wedding vendor dream team to take care of her special day. I was excited to meet these two Dentists see how many teeth jokes I could make.
One of the many fun things that made this Virginia wedding day unique was their traditional African/Ghanian warddrobe change during the reception. I’ve photographed a few weddings with African traditions before and the look on guests faces and the joy of them enjoying another facet of this couple’s lives is the best.
You simply can’t get better than these days. Conner & Serena’s smiles (insert another dentist joke here), Morais Vineyards wedding ceremony (outdoor, yay!) and tons of locations to use for photos throughout the day, and a dance floor that was full all night and eventually filled with dollar bills!
