Every so often there are Fall weddings where the weather is actually perfect. At Abbey & Nareg’s Sequoia DC wedding, we got lucky and it really was perfect (unlike the Fall weekends that coincide with a tropical storm).

Starting off intimately in Abbey & Nareg’s Maryland home with their friends, the day was more relaxed than your typical “gotta keep them separated” with A & N stopping by pre-wedding outfit to say hi and laugh with excitement about the day. Sun showed through the back windows of their home, creating a gorgeous space for getting ready.

Before leaving for portraits and their Armenian ceremony, these two got to do their first look in their house. I love that. Their own space and the place they’ll spend the next chapter of their relationship.

We then took a quick stop at the National Cathedral which was bustling with all kinds of activity to grab some unique DC wedding party photos with their closest friends. We wandered a bit, finding the most flattering light and coolest photo backgrounds and finished up with a sweet little courtyard we had to ourselves. It was amazing!

The remainder of the day was filled with tradition and throwing down on the dance floor at the Georgetown waterfront overlooking the Kennedy Center from their Sequoia DC wedding. Abbey’s father gave an emotional speech while Nareg’s brother revealed a decades old hilarious family secret only brothers could keep. The night went on with lights and fun before settling into the last song encapsulating a wonderful Fall day. Here are a few of my favorite photos from Abbey & Nareg’s Sequoia DC wedding!
