I had the special opportunity to photograph Beth & Katie during their Silver Swan Bayside wedding! From proposal to engagement to celebrating their union in front of their family and friends!
We started the day with Beth sharing a private moment with her dad. She gave him a letter to express how important he is to her. Beth also had another personal gift up her sleeve but this time for Katie! Beth gifted her a scrapbook that showed images and mementos of their love story. Katie’s wedding party joined in looking through it with her and it brought up some beautiful memories for all of them.
What Katie & Beth were going to wear was super important to them. They wanted to be comfortable in their own skin and look like themselves. Beth went with a custom suit from Bindle and Keep who are known for their inclusivity of all people when it comes to suit wear. Katie wore a gorgeous gown with a lace bodice and a flowy bottom that looked incredible flowing in the wind during their ceremony.
For the ceremony, it hit right at golden hour and boy was that sun just dazzling along the water. They included Beth’s nephews and niece to walk down the aisle with cute signs saying “Has anyone seen the rings” and “Here comes the rest of your life.” Then Beth and Katie shared personal vows that expressed such sincerity for their love of one another that the cold November air seemed to dwindle in harshness. The gorgeous light and location of Silver Swan Bayside weddings made this extra special.
Entering the reception the whole wedding party was awesome, Katie & Beth’s parents were the most ecstatic ones going through the guest tunnel onto the dance floor. The sky at this point had turned blood red and orange. The reception dance area had floor to ceiling windows so the glow of this fire sunset showed through during the first dances. The vibrancy of the sunset was overpowering and created an almost glow around Beth & Katie.
Some highlights of the reception was Katie’s non-stop energizer bunny dancing, a fire pit with s’mores fixings at its side, and of course an end of the night snack…pizza.
The last moment of the night that was even more special, when everyone was lining up for the sparkler exit Katie & Beth waited on the dance floor. Then out of nowhere the DJ surprised them for one last dance that was just for the special couple. An epic ending to an epic day for this Silver Swan Bayside wedding.
