This summer has been an incredible blur of travel and shooting thousands of images. Last week though, when I had the opportunity to shoot my very first sunflower engagement of Meghan & Wade at their house, it reminded me to take my time and enjoy every moment.
Meghan & Wade have been dating for a long time and when we were planning their engagement session, they mentioned doing the session at their house because of an amazing sunflower field in the back. As we got closer to the session, we were met with the heat wave of July on the East Coast. Meghan & Wade decided to go with it and it was incredible.
Most of all, it was so quiet. Many of my sessions are in DC or engagements on the National Mall so I’m used to navigating through yelling tourists, waiting, and/or having to take a cab to our next location. It was so quiet at Meghan & Wade’s house and documenting their love was super sweet. It helps that we got to take these Delaware Engagement photos in my hometown of Georgetown, Delaware! Here are a few of my favorite images from Meghan & Wade’s engagement session.
