My Favorite DC Wedding Venues
There are plenty of incredible Washington DC Wedding venues, but here are a few of my favorites that seem to have the best of everything in one space.
District Winery
I’ve photographed weddings at District Winery many times and have even hung out with the owners and staff. The quality of the space, the treatment of my couples by these guys and the commitment to excellence at District Winery is why it’s one of my preferred DC wedding venues. Plus you can have any kind of wedding from traditional to a fun party!

Woodend Sanctuary
I love the beauty and casual vibe of Woodend Sanctuary. One second you’re getting married in a forest while the next you’re partying at a mansion in Maryland.

Long View Gallery
LGV is for those with industrial chic taste and who love to customize. It’s also within walking distance to DC’s most Instammable Blagden Alley where the LOVE mural is!

DC Wedding Gowns & Bridesmaids Dresses
The Bridal Room
Lots of my brides and their bridesmaids have gotten the wedding dress or gown of their dreams at The Bridal Room in Virginia! Shopping for a dress is stressful and can feel a bit awkward, but the staff at The Bridal Room take pride in making you feel comfortable and welcome while you pick out your dress!
St. Anthony’s Bridal
These guys are amazing and I love their mission! If you’re looking for a unique dress or are even looking to save a few dollars for the honeymoon, this is the place to be! Many brides even donate their dresses after their weddings as this is a non-profit. One of my brides even got her dress for $100. You can see it here.Â
BHLDN
If there’s a way to combine modern styling with vintage feels, BHLDN and their team get it done! There’s even a store in DC for fittings and shopping!
Azazie
I’m all about wedding vendors that make every process simple. I’ve never heard more good words from bridesmaids on their dresses feel and looks than from Azazie.
DCÂ Suits & Tuxedos
The Black Tux
I used these guys for my wedding! Both my groomsmen and I were so impressed with the service we received, the quality of the items and how easy the whole process was. Plus, we looked GOOD! Wedding Planners & Event Designers
Lily & Grayson
Noelle at Lily & Grayson is my favorite wedding planner around DC! She’s always thinking of what’s next to help couples prior to wedding day while keeping the day unique to their vision.
IDA ROSE EVENTS
I’ve worked with Laura Held of Ida Rose events multiple times and she makes wedding days easy and relaxed for everyone, including vendors. She’s kind, fun, and doesn’t make wedding planning feel like a chore as she takes on so much for her couples.

DC Hair & Makeup Artists
Christin from Conceptual Beauty
Christin and her team are some of the most skilled makeup artists I’ve ever worked with and they’re fun to be around (which is useful on wedding day)! So many of my couples want an “enhanced” look that doesn’t change who they are or surprise their partner, and Conceptual Beauty is one of the few DC makeup artists that does that consistently every week.
Kara Waggoner
Kara is our ride-or-die makeup artist. So many of our couples want vendors that can make them feel comfortable and beautiful. Kara’s work is incredible and she works with the widest variety of shapes, sizes, skin tones, etc.
Sarah Khan
Choosing a makeup artist can be really daunting but I’ve found that Sarah is one of those makeup artists who makes the process a breeze from dramatic to keeping things simple, she’s a good fit for all of our couples!
DC Florists & Flower Artists
Darling & Daughters
Maria and her team are incredible. I’ve seen her make magical arrangements both for bouquets and room settings. She’s done intimate weddings with us here at Mason Photography and huge events at Congressional Country Club as well!
Rockingbird Flower Co.Â
Meredith traded her Harvard degree for harvest, floral and fauna. She’s a gentle soul with a trained eye at helping couples choose florals that fit their personalities.
Stem & Thistle Floral
Brooke is absolutely incredible and our favorite thing about her floral work is that it’s modern! She’s not afraid to go big and is always a supportive vendor.
Catering
Get Plated
Alexandria is an incredible woman and Get Plated is an amazing black and woman-owned business we LOVE working with.
Windows Catering
These guys are so solid and reliable and the food is incredibly tasty! Windows Catering does a ton of different kinds of food for all cultures and ideas! Plus, their staff is so friendly and awesome.
Spilled Milk
I see Spilled Milk at a ton of my corporate events for clients like Facebook, Instagram, and others. Their staff is professional and I love their cocktail hour ideas!
Videographer
Wise Films
Ethan and his team make the best wedding videos in the area, period. For the couples how want more of an artistic and organic look to their wedding video, this is your wedding videographer!

Ramin is the MAN! If you’re trying to find someone who’s not just another DJ, can navigate anything from indie requests to hip hop and more, he’s your man!

Wedding DJs are so hard to find because seldom can you experience them live unless you’ve attended a wedding they were at. I’ve shot plenty of weddings and interacted with Dan Goldman a lot! He’s fantastic and super fun!

I wrote a post about collecting addresses from wedding guests here because I love Postable that much! It’s an amazing app that collects names, addresses, birthdays and more from your guests! Once you have your addresses, you can mail save the dates, invitations, and even thank you cards! It’s not as custom as some like, but this got the job done beautifully for us!
