It’s been over a week since I’ve blogged! I’ve been in Ethiopia but am now back and photographed Marc & Laura’s amazing wedding at Westminster Hall. If I had one word to describe this Marc & Laura’s Westminster Hall wedding this past weekend, it would be joy.
I knew when I first chatted on the phone with Marc & Laura how much they loved each other, simply by the words they use and how patient they are with each other. During the engagement session in DC, I got to see it even more.
For their special wedding day, we were cautious in the morning due to the rain, but everyone stayed positive. M & L got ready at Hotel Indigo in downtown Baltimore which was such a cool Baltimore hotel, so it wasn’t a problem to do their first look inside, as well as a fun wedding party portrait.
Later on, one of my absolute favorite moments was during the ceremony. The usual giggles and laughs were happening, as well as some heartfelt scripture readings and spoken word pieces. Marc and Laura remained calm, cool and collected, until in one moment when Laura started to tear up.
It was like a release for the guests who all then started crying, but then a little bit of laughter after that stress relief made the room much smaller and intimate.
You’ll see in the photos how much fun the reception was, and how beautiful Westminster Hall is during the summer. It made for a great day and we even had the weather clear up a bit for portraits outside!
