After a few weddings in Delaware, it’s time for some DC Engagement photos with Kyle & Mary!
Last week, even during the rain, Kyle & Mary braved the awkward transitional weather that is the beginning of Fall in DC to look fantastic for their DC engagement. I kept checking in with Mary that week and the day of, giving her and Kyle the option to postpone if they’d like. I always want my clients to feel comfortable, because if you feel comfortable, you look more natural in photos. Standing in the pouring rain didn’t seem that fun but Kyle & Mary decided to press through! They were so cozy and comfortable throughout their fun session you can hardly tell it was raining.
We checked out the Capitol now that the SCAFFOLDING IS FINALLY GONE! With the help of mother nature, we had no trouble avoiding crowds (See Post: Planning Your Engagement on the National Mall), and other than other than the security guards walking around, we had the place to ourselves.
Once the rain cleared up, we headed to the lovely Yards Park for some more fun and modern looks. Kyle & Mary are naturals and it felt like photographing professional models the entire time. I can’t wait for their wedding at Rappahannock Cellars next year! Here are a few of my favorite photos from Kyle & Mary’s DC Engagement session.
