Rob and Angela’s Evergreen Country Club wedding in Haymarket, Virginia, was one of those weddings I’ll never forget. It started off with two of the best people I’ve met. As a couple, Rob and Angela are the nicest, most thoughtful people. I saw the entire day how they selflessly look out for others and what they need. They’re patient, kind, loyal, and intensely proud of each other and their family.
Angela got ready with all of her bridesmaids nearby and it felt just like a party! I could see the camaraderie and made sure to document the special bond they all shared. It was the same story with Rob and his guys as they got into their sleek navy suits. There was a perfect mix of excitement, anticipation and relaxation in the air.
An Evergreen Country Club wedding is bound to be special. The manor house, the Inn at Evergreen, is full of classic charm, with stone masonry and a garden on the side that is perfect for wedding ceremonies. I was thrilled to be able to utilize the grounds of Evergreen, especially during the ceremony and portrait times.
Leading up to the ceremony, everyone was betting whether or not Rob would cry when he first saw Angela. When the time came and he first saw her coming down the aisle, arm in arm with her father, he couldn’t hold the tears. It was a beautiful, touching moment. Their smiles and sidelong glances told a much bigger story of their love and devotion for each other.
After portraits of the two of them and their wedding party, it was off to the reception at the clubhouse. I would describe most receptions as high-energy, but Rob and Angela’s reception was on another level! The bridal party came out strong and every single guest, kids and grandparents alike were on their feet, shouting, cheering, and singing all night long. Take a look at the reception dance shots to see what I mean. I always love being right in the middle of the action and this was a reception that was an absolute blast to document.
I’m blessed to have been able to be there for Rob and Angela’s day, to freeze these moments and relive them for a lifetime.
