Alert: Not a wedding blog post (in a few days though there’ll be more for you!)
I’ve finally had a chance to blog some of my travel from this year. I haven’t blogged any travel since Iceland. This is more than travel though.
I went down to Bolivia in partnership with @aoneeight to document the work of Fundación Adventura (Or Adventure Foundation in English, but it’s more fun to say in Spanish!). Fundación Adventura is a “non-profit based in Cochabamba, Bolivia that utilizes participatory outdoor challenges or adventure therapy to help participants move through and beyond their struggles to experience the fullness of life. The adventure therapy program has been in operation in Bolivia since early 2011, and focuses on working with the young men and boys residing in orphanages and juvenile detention centers in the Cochabamba area.”
Our adventure was hiking through a section of Bolivia named Toro Toro, which you may have seen in the news recently because they’ve found dinosaur bones there. Backpacking is always fun and challenging, but at 11,000 feet it was something else. Working with the kids and documenting the process was a fantastic and engaging experience. Here are a some of my favorite photos…
