Getting to travel is one of my absolute favorite perks of my job, but when it’s coming to Chicago to hangout with Colin, Jillian and their friends & family, it’s extra special. Upon walking into both of Colin & Jillian’s getting ready spots, I was instantly welcomed and felt like I was already family. Their Lacuna Artist Lofts Wedding could not have been more fun and such a huge celebration of their love.
Their ceremony and first look at Covenant Presbyterian Church contained all of the smiles and joy you’d expect from Colin & Jillian if you knew them. Multiple times throughout the day, both of their heads thrown back in laughter and so excited for this next chapter of their lives.
When it came to the reception at the incredible Lacuna Artist Lofts, it was about proving the rumors true. In the months leading up to the wedding, both Jillian and the venue manager at Lacuna Artist Lofts had informed me about the amazing view of the Chicago skyline from their roof. Let it be known, the rumors about Lacuna Artist Lofts weddings are absolutely true but combining the bridal party with the Chicago skyline view does enhance the uniqueness of the day even more. š
The entire night was fun, one of those weddings where the dance floor was full while the seats and tables almost empty. These weddings are the best: when everyone participates and everyone celebrates. The groomsmen and maid/matron of honor speeches were absolutely heartfelt, especially from my old roommate Zack. The wedding reception at Lacuna Artist Lofts was simply one of the best ways I could’ve rounded out 2016.
