One thing I push so hard in my business is the idea that I don’t put couples into any photography mold or try to make them into something they’re not. I’m a storyteller first and my goal is to tell the couple’s story, not my own.
I loved getting to know Bruno & Crystal during the past few months, in which their mutual love of video games and each other were subjects that rose to the top of discussion often (probably because my wife and I recently bought a Nintendo Switch).
Like all great couples, they were open to anything for their engagement session. I suggested them making the trek from Baltimore to DC for a mix of nature at Lincoln Park and then a Mason Photography first video game engagement session at DC’s Atlas Arcade just 5 blocks from my house.
Bruno and Crystal were down and we’re so genuine during the session. I love the way Crystal causes Bruno to light up with a smile and how their long dating relationship has transformed into this engagement season.
This was obviously an absolute blast. Thanks to Atlas Arcade for being so welcoming of this fun idea! Here’s a few of my favorite images from Bruno and Crystals video game engagement session.
