Getting the chance to shoot at a DC wedding venue for the first time is definitely a highlight for me. Aziza & Mike’s Willard InterContinental Wedding this past weekend changed the game. I had photographed at the Willard before, but never a wedding. After being in the city 5 years, buying a house, and running a business here I was ecstatic to spend time with A & M at this incredible venue.
The whole day was gorgeous and thoughtful. From Aziza’s gift to Mike (or Captain Mike as I’d like to call him) which was a watch similar to the one he depended on during tours in Afghanistan, to probably the most fun I’ve ever had with family members and wedding party during those photos. We had lots of buffer time planned in the day which made everything stress free. Rather than jumping from piece to piece of a schedule, we were cruising in style throughout the day without a worry in the world. Those are the best weddings.
Here are a few of my favorite Willard InterContinental Wedding photos from Aziza & Mike’s incredible wedding day!
