There are weddings where even while you’re photographing, you think to yourself “this is special”. For Chris and Melissa’s snowy Barn at Klines Mill Wedding, there were SO MANY of those special moments. From the tear-filled vows that Chris gave from the heart, to the speech Melissa’s father gave, and of course the fun of shooting in the snow. The entire day, my heart and memory cards were full.
Melissa’s gift to Chris was so silly. Apparently, Chris is more of a person who views time as a relaxed concept and seldom is what we call “on time”. Well, Melissa’s family is always early, especially with her working in the Pentagon. So Melissa got Chris a huge bag, filled with clocks, a chain and lock, some socks and a new watch (I’m a poet and I didn’t know it!). It was absolutely hilarious!
I’ve known these guys as a while, as I met them at Reggie & Raven’s wedding, saw them again during the hurricane at Billy & Kari’s wedding, and our fun filled engagement session in Alexandria. Chris & Melissa we’re ready for anything! Both the bridesmaids and groomsmen were totally fine taking photos in the snow by the Barn at Klines Mill and Chris and Melissa enjoyed the snow a bit as well. They timed their wedding perfectly for us to get some gorgeous golden hour portraits in the snow before they’d finish their Barns at Klines Mill wedding day.
Overall, the day was such a great day of hanging with awesome people at the Barn at Klines Mill, which was a wonderful wedding venue in the snow!
Also, if you’ve read past blogs, you know there are a few weddings where I’ve split my pants while shooting, but the photos always end up awesome. This was one of those weddings! Enjoy a few of my favorite Barn at Klines Mill wedding photos…
